Attorney Benjamin Yip is licensed to practice law in California and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School where he served as the President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. He was a recipient of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association Scholarship and interned with Asian Americans Advancing Justice Los Angeles (formerly Asian Pacific American Legal Center).
Attorney Yip attended the University of California, San Diego where he received his Bachelors of Science in Animal Physiology and Neuroscience with a minor in Health Care and Social Issues . After graduation he worked as research analyst at a local biopharmaceutical company before going to Loma Linda University where he earned his Masters in Public Health. He then worked for Kaiser Permanente at their Southern California headquarters in Pasadena.
He was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and contributed to the community through various philanthropic activities. He was also a three year member of the UCSD Men's Lacrosse Team. He is currently a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the North County Bar Association. He is a recent recipient of the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for his Pro Bono legal work from the State Bar of California.
He is a devoted family man who volunteers with the San Diego Chinese Academy. He is an avid Chargers and Padres fan and loves to take advantage of the San Diego weather when he can by surfing, mountain biking, or golfing.
